Product Description
Keeping a steam cylinder operating at its peak depends on the quality of lubricants inside of the cylinder. Without proper lubrication, steam cylinders develop deposits on discharge valves that can interfere with valve seating and reduce the steam cylinder’s efficiency. Gard™ Steam Cylinder Oil is engineered from hydro-treated base oils selected for clarity, thermal stability, and resistance to oxidation and fortified with extreme pressure additives for use in industrial applications. Formulated with a soft, tallow compounding and tough tackifier additives, Gard Steam Cylinder Oil lubricates wet cylinders and prevents rusting of cylinder walls.
Gard Steam Cylinder Oil is ideal for use in steam cylinders, gear/worm gears, couplings, bearings, and break-in of compressor cylinders. Gard Steam Cylinder Oil is a high quality performance oil that provides:
- Excellent antiwear and friction reduction
- Resistance to deposit and high soot levels
- Excellent film strength at high temperatures
Gard Steam Cylinder Oil is available in ISO 180, 220, 320, 460, 680.
